I have no idea why I write. The old standards are: I like to express my feelings, stretch my imagination, earn money.

The school was prone to dishing out punishments for anything creative that didn’t fit with expectation – I just followed the logic and figured the folk club was probably much the same.

I like to be surprised. Fresh implications and plot twists erupt as a story unfolds. Characters develop backgrounds, adding depth and feeling. Writing feels like exploring.

You don’t have to be crazy to work here, but it helps.

I don’t believe in architecture as a profession. It is a passion.

Originality is the one thing which unoriginal minds cannot feel the use of.
